Veteran actor Yinka Quadri, a close friend of the late actor, was among the Nollywood figures present at the burial, offering words of comfort to the family. Ogogo died on August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after a battle with stage-four cancer, and his family had earlier announced a Fidau prayer for August 31 as part of Islamic funeral rites.
Tributes have continued to pour in from across the Nigerian film industry for the veteran actor, whose career in Yoruba cinema spanned more than four decades.
