A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the NDLEA to produce influencer Kazeem Michael Afolabi, known as KC Luxury, and respond within five days to his suit challenging his continued detention.
The Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to produce social media influencer and businessman Kazeem Michael Afolabi, popularly known as KC Luxury, who has been detained over alleged cocaine trafficking offences.
Justice Friday Ogazi, ruling on Thursday, August 27, 2026, also ordered the agency to respond within five days to Afolabi’s suit challenging his continued detention and seeking his release or bail. The order comes amid a separate, subsisting order from another Federal High Court judge granting the NDLEA a 30-day extension to keep the suspect in detention.
Afolabi was arrested by the NDLEA on August 13, 2026, in connection with the seizure of 184.5 kilogrammes of cocaine, valued at nearly $28 million, allegedly destined for the United Kingdom. He has not been convicted of any offence, and the matter remains before the court.
