Victor Osimhen will face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain, while Ademola Lookman will take on German giants Bayern Munich, after Thursday's 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league-phase draw in Monaco confirmed opponents for several Nigerian players and their clubs.
For Osimhen and Galatasaray, holders PSG headline a challenging schedule that also includes La Liga champions Barcelona and Premier League side Aston Villa, alongside Sporting CP, Feyenoord, Lille, Stuttgart and AEK Athens. Lookman's Atletico Madrid face Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester United among their opponents, along with PSV, Fenerbahce, Bodo/Glimt, Viking and Stuttgart.
Slavia Prague, who field five Nigerians in their senior squad including Igoh Ogbu and Samuel Isife, will face Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Aston Villa among others. Moses Usor's LASK, making their Champions League debut, were drawn against Real Madrid and Liverpool, while Christian Nwachukwu's Sabah will also make their first appearance in the competition. The league phase begins on September 8, 2026, with the final scheduled for June 5, 2027, at Madrid's Metropolitano Stadium.
